Advertising isn\u2019t dead…not by a long shot.<\/h2>\n

In fact, one guy has made a pretty decent living<\/a> building the world\u2019s largest self-serve social advertising platform.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right…we\u2019re talking Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta.<\/p>\n

The problem for little exorcists like us?<\/strong> That very ad platform has banned Odor Exorcism from advertising on it:<\/p>\n

\"ZuckWhat\u2019s funny is, we\u2019ve never had too many ads rejected, we\u2019ve never circumvented the ad review process, we\u2019ve never participated in fraudulent behavior, and we\u2019ve never associated with untrustworthy accounts…because we\u2019ve never advertised. Our account was suspended before we even had a chance to run afoul of Meta\u2019s rules. #ZuckSucks<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat does this mean for me?\u201d you\u2019re probably thinking to yourself.<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ll get there, we promise.<\/p>\n

Does Mark Suckerberg hate exorcisms?<\/h2>\n

Before we evaluate the implications of this promotional interdiction, we need to dive deep into the background of Mark Zuckerberg to see if anything in his personal history might allude to a grudge or bias against exorcisms or exorcists like us.<\/p>\n

Born into a Jewish family in White Plains, New York, Mark has at times declared himself an atheist while also acknowledging the importance of religion.<\/p>\n

He did meet with the late Pope Francis<\/a> in 2016, but the pope was not able to convert the tech mogul during that visit, at least according to reports. His Holiness also passed up the chance to perform an exorcism on Zuckerberg\u2014even a quick one\u2014during their time together. (We can\u2019t say that our very own Father Olor Fresco would be able to exert that kind of self-control given the opportunity.)<\/p>\n

Without additional evidence, we can only conclude that Zuckerberg is likely neutral<\/strong> on the topic of exorcisms. Moving on…<\/p>\n

What is Mark Zuckerberg\u2019s favorite horror movie?<\/h2>\n

Several credible sources like Business Insider<\/a> and Memorizer.ai<\/a> have published commentary or all-out lists of some of Mark Zuckerberg\u2019s favorite films. In sum, those articles paint a picture of Zuckerberg\u2019s movie tastes, and that picture is telling.<\/p>\n

Included in these lists are movies like Moneyball<\/em>, Iron Man<\/em>, The Dark Knight<\/em>, and Django Unchained<\/em>, all great in their own right. He is also reportedly a big Star Wars<\/em> fan, likely on account of the undeniable resemblance between himself and The Emperor<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What is noticeably absent from all of these top-10s is a horror movie of any kind. Even more notable is the absence of an affinity for the greatest film ever made, William Friedkin\/William Peter Blatty\u2019s The Exorcist<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Zuck seems like more of a The Ring<\/em> guy, or maybe even The Amityville Horror<\/em> (the 2005 Ryan Reynolds remake, not the original). We can surmise that one of these inferior horror films probably is on his list somewhere, but just not in the top 10.<\/p>\n

So why is Odor Exorcism banned from advertising on Meta ad platforms?<\/h2>\n

After this scholarly evaluation, the only conclusion we can come to is…we don\u2019t know.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If that\u2019s an unsatisfying end to this journey, well, join the club. Maybe Zuck just sucks. <\/strong>(To be clear, we wouldn\u2019t be the first to levy that accusation at Zuckerberg<\/a>, and we probably won\u2019t be the last.)<\/p>\n

What we do know for certain is that we have been banned from spending money on the Meta advertising network…a judgment which is final and for which there is no appeal.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not like we really wanted<\/em> to contribute to Zuckerberg\u2019s Hawaii bunker<\/a> fund. Far from it. If we had our druthers, we would go back to theses nailed to doors as our primary means of advertising.<\/p>\n

But when running a consumer packaged goods brand in 2026, social advertising is a reality and a necessary evil. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit are where the eyeballs are…so that\u2019s where advertisers (like Odor Exorcism) have to spend their time\u2014and money.<\/p>\n

Which brings us back to the original point of this whole announcement…what does this promotional persecution mean for you<\/em>?<\/h3>\n

It means we\u2019re slashing prices across the Odor Exorcism portfolio of natural odor eliminator products!<\/h2>\n

Now that it\u2019s been determined that we can\u2019t advertise on Meta (and we\u2019ve sworn off Google as well, since a recent ruling concluded that Google has rigged ad auctions<\/a> for nearly a decade), we no longer have a CAC to worry about.<\/p>\n
